Randy Neves has been a reporter for KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8 since June, 2000. He recently won an Emmy Award for his coverage of Portland City Hall. Neves has been reporting news in the Pacific Northwest since 1993. He was the City Hall Reporter for KREM-TV (CBS) in Spokane, Washington. He began his career as a reporter, anchor, and Washington D.C. correspondent for KEZI-TV (ABC) in Eugene, Oregon.
Neves has won numerous awards for his writing and reporting of breaking news, feature stories, and in-depth pieces. His accolades include two Edward R. Murrow Awards and eleven Emmy nominations. Neves received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Washington and his Master of Science Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, raised in Seattle, Washington, Neves says he's an avid music, culture and sports fan with an "undying curiosity in the people and politics that help shape our world."
