Kyle Iboshi is a General Assignment Reporter for KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8 and can be seen weekdays.
Kyle has been with NewsChannel 8 since the year 2000. Kyle’s first on-air position was at KDRV-TV (ABC) in Medford, Oregon as an Editor and Reporter. In 1996 Kyle moved to Bend, Oregon to work for KTVZ-TV (NBC) as a Reporter and Morning Anchor. From 1996 to 2000 Kyle reported for KLAS-TV (CBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association's Portland Chapter.
The most memorable stories Kyle has covered include the Tsunami that hit Sri Lanka, the 9/11 Anniversary in New York City, Family killer Christian Longo's arrest in Houston, Texas and Wildfires that struck in Colorado.
Kyle is an Oregonian, growing up in Hillsboro. He is a graduate of Washington State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
Kyle and his wife Laura reside in Portland and enjoy spending time with their twin boys. In his spare time, Kyle also enjoys playing golf, along with cooking and traveling.
