Drew Carney joined KGW Northwest Newschannel 8 in September of 2006, bringing with him a reputation for entertaining early morning television audiences in the Portland area.

Drew's TV career began after graduating from Temple University in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He started out as a sports anchor and reporter with stops in Wichita Falls, Texas, Abilene, Texas, and Johnstown, Pennsylvania before making the move to Portland in October of 2000.

Drew switched gears from sports anchor to morning show feature reporter in the summer of 2002.  Since then, he's learned to call the Pacific Northwest home.  He and his wife Mia (a born and raised Oregonian and a Portland State graduate) were married in the summer of 2006.  They share a home in Beaverton with their Border Terrier, Zoey.
