Joe Becker can be seen weekends anchoring sports on KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8 @ 5, 6:30 and 11. Joe is also a weekday sports reporter.
Joe started at NewsChannel 8 in 1984. He came to Portland from WLNE-TV(ABC) in Providence, Rhode Island where he served as weekend sports anchor and reporter from 1984 to 1989. His prior experience includes sports reporting, producing and anchoring at KSDK-TV(NBC) in St. Louis, Missouri.
Joe received an Associates Degree in Mass Communications from Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis and a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University.
