Sara Roth is the Digital Investigative Reporter for KGW. In her role, she creates longform and multimedia projects for KGW.com, taking in-depth looks at issues that impact people in Oregon and SW Washington. She also works with KGW's investigative team to uncover stories and showcase them online.
In 2016, Sara received two awards for her reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists.
She is a board member of the SPJ Oregon Territory chapter.
Sara joined the KGW digital team in 2013. She was previously a staff writer at The Source Weekly in Bend and a writer, editor and marketing director at Resource Magazine in New York City. Sara graduated with a bachelor's degree in creative writing and English from Bucknell University and a master's degree in multimedia journalism from the University of Oregon.

A Maine native from the other (original) Portland, Sara spends her free time exploring the beautiful state of Oregon with her husband and dog. In the summer, you can find her camping and paddle boarding. In the winter, her favorite place to be is at Mt. Bachelor in Bend.
